Lost at least 3 good diggers over the years! :(
Lost a 4th one in VA, but someone found it! :)

the park was packed full of people. too bad my hubby had to go to work and we didnt get to be out long. going back tomarrow though. i did find 40 cents another boy scout neckslide, a dart with a plastic tip, a button, my hubby found 1.00 in change. a ring from a quarter machine, and i forgot what else. lots of good targets i couldnt get to in time though.

Sorry about your screwdriver, dobbie, but ya have just been iniated into the detectorists habits of losing detecting items!

I had won a long-handle shovel at our club meeting and my ex stood it up on the side of a tree and walked away from it! He didn't remember it until we were on the way home! I have thrown coins away when dumping my trash into the trash cans in parks, plus screwdrivers and I lost an icepick that was flattened on the tip to use as a probe and lost it in a park and felt badly about it, as it would be dangerous for kids to find! I broke my last icepick I was using and had to use a screwdriver again! So join the crowd as I'm sure we aren't the only ones to lose things!

God Bless!

yes Ma. thats what got me worried to was a kid finding it...and thank you for recieving me into the detecorists club of losing stuff. i gladley accept the membership.

Well, dobbie, I hope you don't make a habit of it but it will probably happen again! I forgot to tell you that I had gone hunting in a park by the Current River while my ex and I were down visiting his mother! I laid my really nice Stainless Steel Shovel on one of the picnic tables, that I had bought from one of the club members who made them for $10.00 and after putting the rest of my detecting gear in our Jeep, I was driving to another spot to hunt where they had school picnics and didn't have my shovel! I prayed please God don't let anyone find it and I got back in the jeep and drove back to the area I had left and there it was still laying where I put it! Believe me I sure praised God and thanked Jesus for it still being there! A kind of shovel you don't want to lose!

Also in a ballfield area in Illinois I laid my small shovel down that was more handy to handle and some other stuff! I didn't miss it until later and when I went back I asked the caretakers there if they had seen it and they said no they hadn't! Someone found it right away I am sure as it was where they parked the cars and I was resting and drinking water and then left! I don't do that again and make sure I put everything away first before doing anything else!

Another time I was there and one of the men asked me if I had seen a watch which a boy had lost and I hadn't then! Well when I got ready to leave lo and behold not far from my car was the watch....I could have run over it! I took it inside of the building and told another guy that I found it and someone had been asking......so I've found it and here it is! Still don't know if it ever got back to the owner or not! Was a nice watch!

There I,ve been in the loser club for a long time and now you are a member too!  Have fun but try not to lose anything else! :)

God Bless & Happy Hunting!
