Lower Rods

I love my Safari so far, but the only gripe I have is the lower carbon fiber rod that they use. One I have will tighten up great and the other one is loose no matter where I position it. I have found a cure.....get the old Explorer XS rod, it is shaped like the middle stem and will slip right in TIGHT. You just have to place the coil wire thru a channel on the underside of the rod instead of thru it. I think the weight is about the same anyways and the tan color matches the Safari and they can be had alot cheaper than the new ones.............MO

morelic,

Thats a pain! I bought a replacement shaft to put on my WOT coil so I don't have to go through threading the wire in the shaft when swapping coils. It seems to be the same size as the one that came with the machine and it locks down just as tightly.
