I'm glad you found some coins and gold!!! The Infinium is not hard once you get past the learning curve.

The different sounds will become familiar to you with practice and you'll dig less junk using the reverse disc and iron check function.
You should check out the various posts for tips and tricks using the Infinium (P2P has a dedicated Infinium forum too).

You now have a super deep and sensitive detector and need to spend time learning it (will pay you back time and time again).
If you're in a hurry, you can cover alot of ground and only dig the high-low signals (gold only hunting)!

Thanks!!!

Hi, LS hunter. Nice finds and hope the stones are good ones. The coin sounds like one of the newer nickels (maybe '05-'07) but I'm not sure. If so it has different views of Jefferson on the obverse and one has the old buffalo on the reverse while the other has Monticello. I don't know about the USA on the rim though as the ones I have don't have that. Could you give a description of the obverse and reverse of the coin? That would be of great help if you can't post a photo yet. WTG.

Okay, LS hunter, I have found several nickels, four to be exact, dated between 2004 and 2008. They all depict various forms of Jefferson on the obverse and different commemorative depictions on the reverse. Monticello, buffalo, Lewis and Clark Expedition and the Louisiana Purchase. But none of the ones I have have USA on the rim. Maybe a rare one? Hope so but I'm not a coin collector and have very limited knowledge about coins. Best of luck.
