LTD and 5" coil

I don't post about many of my finds as I don't do pictures, but I did have a fun morning recovering 2 silver dimes, 1 war nickel, a red, but good detail 34 buffalo nickel and a initial monogramed navy eagle/ globe/anchor watch fob. The fob, except for the initials, is the exact same as another one I've found in the last month...and from different spots.

I had the 5" coil on and was swinging in a pretty trashy spot, lots of small bits of iron, can slaw and tons of pull tabs. And, there were some nearby power lines. I got the LTD fairly quiet in bp with 6 disc. and sen. of 75 and running 3h tones. None of the targets were deep, 4" or so, but all but 1 dime was co-located with some trash item. The 5" coil hit the good stuff well enough to dig. Ground is bone dry. HH jim tn

Thanks, El. Ya, I know about your silver. You had a great day. Love those Memorials, too, right? HH jim tn

Jimtn, would you please explain when and why you swap to the 5" coil? Is it mostly for trashy areas to make it easier to separate signals? Thanks for any info,..........!!
