Quick question on the 75 which most likely an easy answer I'm missing, don't use 4F tone but heard it works good where coins are with trash, so many times today as I was swing I would receive a high tone and a good ID in one direction and a low bad ID on the return swing, no matter how many time I went over it I still got the same readings, also on some targets like that I would rotate around the target to try to acquire a repeatable high tone in both directions but to no avail. Some I dug but couldn't find anything. Any Ideas?

The tone setup I use for coin shooting is pretty much dictated by the age of the site. If the site has the age for IH cents and older types of coins, I use 4H. If not, then 3H. I've not found that 4 tones in the trash help me. In fact, that many tones could be hindrance. Although I get surprised once in a while, far more often then not one way good sounding hits are trash. As far as not finding the target, it could well be a rust spot. Move the dirt around and frequently a bit of rusty soil can be seen. HH jim tn

Usually if you cant get a 2 way tone its junk/iron. But you never truely know till you dig it. Could be coins together or in with trash

Thats about what I figured, I was reading the 4H section in the manual so I thought I'd work it to see how it was , pulled a few Clad dimes in the junk. the farm dates 1824 and I get coins back to 1797 NJ copper.
