I received my X Terra 705 last week and on Thursday finally put it together and turned it on.
After only an hour I found a 1946 Walking Liberty Half. heck , at this point I do not even
know how to use it, yet!

If I didn't know you, I might have thought that was a story.

Got to do some detecting with MaynardG today and that liberty is a beaut! Hopefully there are many more where that came from.

Nice find, I think the 705 is one of the most under rated detectors, you'll have plenty of good finds ahead of you .

Nice find. I still have not found one and I have had my 70 for about two years.

7centsworth... don't feel bad, I have been detecting since 1972 and have never found one of those.... way to go MaynardG!

I've never found one in 20 years.
Right place
right machine

Excellent Start! Great find with a great detector! Digging big silver is special for any detectorist, veteran or rookie. Glad you pulled this one on your X-TERRA's maiden voyage. I guarantee that you'll never forget digging this one. And just knowing that there are some "down there" will provide encouragement for years to come! HH Randy

Congrats on the great find! Can you give us some idea of where you were hunting and at what depth and what TID the Silver was at?
Thanks

I was in my Mom's front yard, about 3 feet from the sidewalk. It registered a solid 44 and was 4 to inches deep.
I was very surprised to see something shiny.
Thank you for the interest.
