M.D. Club in Montana ?

Hey all.
I'm kind of wondering, ,,,
Montana doesnt seem to have a club, i've looked.
And I know alot of us tend to like to stay away from other people, in our hobby.
I'm sort of that way , I guess.
But I think if there were a club , it would be fun to learn from others, and see some neat finds.
it would also be kinda nice to b.s. with others about detecting.
Thats kind of what we do here anyhow.
So, out of curiosity, any fellow montanans out there think they might be interested in getting together,
and figuring out how to get something going,?
I am researching now , and will be for some time I bet, on how different clubs operate , theyre guidelines,
and what they have to offer.
Of course they are all in other states.
Any input will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Happy Hunting,
Dusty

Yes, ATC is where its at!

I know the guys in Team ATC,,
Ive asked quite a few times , about getting together, helping teach the kids , and teach me , some things ,
Ive asked about get togethers, meetings, outings, etc. But they arent a club.
I bought a bunch of theyre DVDs.i even wore theyre "TEAM ATC" cap for a while.
and I feel, that ,other than to sell me something , they really dont offer anything else. Help wise.
I also am friends with a feller that showed them one of his favorite spots, they videod it, and now go to it alone,
but never ask him to go out.
so , he feels used.
I dont know , seems to me they are about promoting themselves, not really a club .
And to be Honest , Theyre videos are cool, lotsa fun, and they show some cool finds,
But as far as learning anything from them ? I didnt.
Im not saying I dont like them, Im just saying,
In My Opinion....
They arent a club, and they dont show much interest in helping NEWBIES.
But ,they do SELL Stuff. Alot of people sell stuff.
I am looking for a Club, to learn from others, and to get out and have fun with.
Just my opinion, the facts as I know them to be.
Hope I dont offend anyone.
And thanks for your time
Dusty

We are more a group of crazy detectorists than a club. We haven't been detecting for 30 or more years like most so advice is sometimes hard, but drop me a line and I will try to help any time, and as with any Montana detectorist your always welcome to come hit some of my spots with me, We really are not into the selling that much just always looking for the time to get out. anyway I am always willing to help out so don't be shy. we are also on facebook under anacondatreasure also and we post there allot so you can ask all the questions you want. HH and hope to hear from you. T.O.
