M6 First Hunt.....Good Results

Well the M6 came in from Ron's Thursday late afternoon.Took it out to my backyard Friday morning after I assembled it just to see what it felt like.My backyard has been picked clean for a while but after a couple swings this things gives a good hit and vdi's as a zinc penny @ 4",What The!!. I dig a little plug and theres a zinc coated tarp grommet at 4"..Alright! seems to be working alright.Pick it up and go to work. Now this morning I decide to take the M6 on its first hunt to the cleanest place I know of ,that has been giving me some older nickels and wheats to see how it does without being bothered with a lot of trash. First hit right out of the truck 1c. at 7".The vdi was a little bouncy to the high side but it turned out to be two wheaties sandwiched together at about 6". After 3 hours + or- a few minutes, I ended up with ..

2 silver washingtons 25c.a 1951 & 1936d
1 silver rosie 1964d
2 buffalo nickels -cant read dates yet
1 silver nickel 1945d
13 wheaties
26 jeffs 1941 thru the early 60's some may be late 30's didnt ck em all
2 clad 25c
1 clad 10c
35 copper mem 1c
1 clad crucifix medal
2 brass coat buttons
This was my third hunt here since finding this spot. the first two hunts yeilded 2 buffalos, about 20 wheats,4 silver nickels, and a bunch of older jeff nickels. This spot is behind a school that was built in the 50's. A local also told me there were fairs here before the school was built, so I think the M6 will be giving me a good workout here for a little while.I dont have my camera with me right now but I can try to post a pic another day. I am impressed with the performance of this machine that is so easy to use, its just FUN, Ill try to go back tommorrow morning to see if the M6 can find a few more silvers for me.
HH....Good Luck...Richard A. in S.La. { I may be changing my user name to UpDownLeroy.}("")

Don't you love those couple knobs, very intuitive. The M6 is a gem IMHO and a real coin getter. Imagine what you would have done with a couple years experience under your belt with the machine in the same spot. That sounds like a great spot that will produce for years to come for you. Good luck.
