Maiden Voyage of My Waterproof Explorer SE

Well finally got out to do a nice test of the waterproof Explorer SE. Things were pretty sanded in unfortunately but I did manage a few good targets. Performance was pretty decent, but a few areas were littered with heavy trash so it was tough to navigate through. Since I am used to my AT Pro, this is a bit different for me, plus the sand is fairly mineralized so you have to keep the sensitivity down a bit. Otherwise, it went well...I was in 4 feet of water for a good while with the unit fully submerged and no leaks at all.
Got a few coins, old hair clip, a silver plated medallion, and a small piece of junk jewelry.
for more on this unit, you can see my thread in the modifcations forum:

I like what you've done with your SE . Dumb question , are you still able to operate the buttons with out having to open it ?

Yes, the front plastic is flexible so all buttons and controls function as normal.

How deep can you go with it ?

No clue, but Im sure a few feet fully submerged would be fine. Never pressure tested it but I am confident that I can be shoulder deep for a while without issue.

That is a nice set-up. You did a fantastic, well thought out job. I think you will do well...GL
