Welcone Pete, I'm new here also. Just looking around and reading everyone elses wisdom. My most used machine is a Silver Umax w/ CSC. It works great for vacuuming up coins in parks. Welcome aboard!!!

I also use the Silver uMax and am thinking about getting the CSC. But, I was told that using a larger than stock coil required re-calibration at the factory.
What type of settings work best?
Have you tried it a the beach?
Thanks,
PJ

...as it has pinpoint and a front panel mount threshold adjust - both missing from new model "Silvers". If you can find one used in good shape, dont hesitate - buy it. Aside from the Bandido, this was arguably their best "first generation" MicroMax model. With the larger coil it has little change that I can detect, but then in parks and such, targets are shallow.

just got one for my wife for Christmas, love the weight factor. anything out there we should know or what we can expect from this machine??
