its Me again... asking help and advice
from the more learned which is just about
everyone...

Anyway it will soon be time to put the
GTI1500 to bed for the winter. I know about
cleaing the coil. stems etc real good and leaving
the batteriers out. I like to keep my sutff looking as
new as possible so what can I use to clean the housing
battery box arm rest etc etc without messing up the circutry.?

Also I used the sniper coil for the last time yesterday afternoon
at a local park that is REAL trashy Plus i was keeping one eye
on the dog, In 1/2 hr i got$0.73 which i think aint bad including my 1st 3some,
2 dimes and penny in the same hole. I doubt i would have dug it
without the small coil. It does find more coins around junk than
the std coil. I didnt get the chance to use it around some
old walls i know of in the woods near here. BUT i know what im
putting in my letter to Santa this year. Too bad it isnt an imaging coil

As usual tks in advance for the info and advice

What I do, wipe all down with slightly damp=SOFT cloth, not paper towel-sometimes they have fibers that could scratch screen- after satisfied with my cleaning i finish by applying Armor All or Pledge furniture polish, and buff with another Very soft cloth, and that's what I do :detecting:

Thanks for the info i was wondering
if stuff like Armour all would be ok.
since you use it with no probs then
Ill carefully use it as well

Just clean it with a damp cloth and a little dilute cleaner. Apply the Armor All and there you go.
Remove the batteries once the preservative is dry, put the detector in a proctective bag and you're done.

Viva paper towels ( spendy ) are the best for anything as they are like a soft cloth and can be wrung out and used over and over.

Posolutely. Damp, not wet and a little soap.
