Do I need to hunt somewhere else.. A Merc is good but I spent,again, 4-5 hrs today and here's what I have to show for it. 1945 Merc,2 quarters,1 dime ,1 penny and a key.Bet I dug 200-300 junk items. Anyone want to join me tomorrow??:rofl:

This place has been kickin my butt latley. I keep going back because I know its possible to find some great coins here.What do you think? Keep hittin it??

It is a long time for one Merc dime and a few other trinkets. But nowadays, thats the way of it.

There are more and more low cost, functional detectors being sold to more and more people, but the sites are finite. Or at least, they are not being created as fast as the detectors are going out the door. When it comes to the old sites, it is indeed a loss equation - there can only be so many of them.
Simply put, the easy pickins is gone.

It may be time to do a personal reconnoiter, a little self reflection, if you will. Look at yourself and ask if you detect for enjoyment, or for the finds.
If your enjoyment is tied solely to the things you find and you only measure success by that - then maybe a little mental house cleaning is in order.

I know I had to do it. Just something to think about.
