Is there a comprehensive list of metal detector manufacturers available?

I would especially like to know if there are any Japanese manufacturers of metal detecting equipment.

Any information would be useful.
 
that make MDs. Have been there several times and never saw anybody MDing. (The guys over there are too busy working to have a hobby like that) Next time I go I plan on bringing my XLT. Japan is a country of coin throwers. (supposed to bring good luck) Also they love gold jewelry and probably loose it just like we do. Lots of lakes and a big coastline. Okinawa in southern Japan is tropical.
 
Years ago was actually a book shopwing all the detectors available up to that date. I know of none at this time..Have seen Asian models on E-bay and would stick with a American made just for the warranty alone. Whether anyone realizes it many Anerican made units have many Asian parts and when stated made in America should read assembled in America and of course all differ..Basically along the line of TV's and other electronic equipment...
