Marching Along

Yesterday I had two small hunts. No pics of the first one but here is the second. Note the first silver coin of 2009 which was my last find of the day. Nice way to end a hunt. The junk ring gave me a start but only fooled me because the sun had gone behind the mountains. One hour exactly and I went right to dusk and then out hell raising. Got plenty drunk and left my 2500 in my truck overnight for the first time ever.

Today I opted for a new site where I hoped clad was plentiful. Two tokens, 223 bullet, Principal's Award medal, UK One New Penny. 98 clad coins. If I knew I was so close to 100 coins I would have poked around for another 5 minutes. I am almost to 500 coins for 2009 which is pretty decent for the first week of March. Hunted three hours. My head was pounding so I headed home.

Looks like you found lots of clad.

Chris: Nice finds, great to see that you can get out. The snow is just starting to melt a little here in Vermont so I will be getting out soon. We did get to the beach at Hampton, and there were lots of guys there swinging. Not much luck, but did manage to find one Mercury dime amongst the tons of trash. :clapping:

CWILK! I don't know how you do it! I hunted Friday afternoon, Most of the day Saturday and a good portion of Sunday and I hauled in a measly 106 clad coins and few junk jewelry pieces! My hats off to ya. I am at about 220 coins for 09 so far. I guess I just haven't found that right spot yet. Today I hunted a County Fair grounds, lots of trash! Then we went up to a elementary school playground where we did a lot better.:garrett:
