MARK 1 QUESTION

RELIC_HUNTER

New member
Mr Bill has a Mark 1 for sale and what is the difference between this model and the Red One,LTD ???? I have never seen one being used or in a detector shop.Mr Bill is asking 450.00 for this unit and why so much for a machine that is 20 + years old. This unit must have one good feature going for it....Thanks.

Hi Mike,

What Mr. Bill is asking for is worth every penny and then some, His model is in mint condition and to find one this clean is almost impossible. You can add on other Bounty hunter coils (8", 10" & 4") later if you desire too, They don't cost too much.

I still use the Tekentics Mark 1 and have owned both the Red box LTD and the other Gray housing type. The Red box LTD shows on the analog meter (zinc) penny as the gray box type doesn't have zinc included on the analog meter, You'll never miss this for zinc pennies fall under tab area. Other than that no difference between the two and they are in a class of their own, A wide band of tones and even quarters have their own tone.

post the near new, pristine Mk I LTD I also have. Would you like the LTD ?

No disrespect meant here. There expensive because I paid a lot of money for them. :) One can't expect to purchase new, old stock, or like new equipment for the same price as one would pay for beaten up ones. There also getting harder, and harder to locate each day. So just like everything else, if you want a top of condition, new old stock unit, it's going to cost you more. :)
