master hunter cx

Eric

New member
I can buy the original master hunter cx from the 90's.It has the crossfire coil and not the II. Is it still a decent machine to find the old stuff with? I am after relics and old coins.
How is the all metal mode? Or do the ace's have a better all metal mode?

I never had a master hunter before but I am atracted to this model.

Thanks, Eric.

I had the older CX from the 90's, and it too was a decent machine. It gets better depth then the ACE. The true all metal mode is a bonus, only available with the newer GTI 2500 or older Scorpion. It should serve you well searching for relics. I missed my CX, regretted selling it so last year I ordered a newer model. I will be using it soon for relic hunting, as soon as I break the 100,000 coin mark.

I assume this one has the analog display and fast track 5-second ground balance. This is a good machine for what you want to hunt. It has true all metal whereas the Ace doesn't and it has good depth.

Bill.

This is what I wanted to hear. I have a weak spot for the older detectors with analog meters. I can pick up a CX for a very reasonable price.

Eric, the Netherlands.
