Some of the best finds I ever made were with a Garrett CXII. That one instrument first sold me on the Garrett line.metalhead said:Hey, congrats on the new CX Plus! That's a really great machine and priced quite reasonably. I don't have the CX Plus, but I do have the original Grand Master Hunter as well as the CXII and CXIII. I know that Uncle Willy and John use the CX Plus quite regularly and they will be able to chime in with some excellent advice for you. Dahut's right, too. Use it (practice, practice, practice) and follow the manual, of course.
You're gonna love that dual range dicrimination and the fact that the CX Plus can use so many different search coils.
Best of luck to ya'!Happy Hunting!

I love the Camo Tape Jacketing technique. I've started doing it to everything:John-Edmonton said:I like to use the true all metal mode when hunting in areas where there is silver. The CX bangs pretty good on silver coins. In trash areas, I hunt in discriminate mode, and flip back and forth between true all meta mode and disc. mode.
