Match Bob & Romper Room Ring Found.

I went back to the local park to see if I could find another gold ring. No luck in the gold ring department, but I did find a kid's ring on the path in the woods where I found the Class Ring earlier this year. The ring is a Romper Room ring from the TV show bearing that name from the 50's and the 60's. I remember this show as a kid back then, but I do not remember anything about rings. This was a Pleasant surprise. Then about a half hour later around a stone wall, I dug out what I thought was a buckle. After I cleaned it up it turned out to be a brass Match Safe. This was a great find as it was from, "Jackson Building & Loan Assn., Offices, 522 9th. St., Huntington, W, Va,, Ravenswood, W.Va." Seeing that I live in Huntington, I relay liked this find. This bank does not exist today. I will do some research and see when this business opened. Outside of these to finds I found $1.30 in Clad. This old beat to death park still gives up her hidden treasures. HH...Jesse.

I broke down in Huntington once. (And got ripped off by a large repair shop.)

Here is what that Ring is booked for, at least in my Premium Ring Price Guide from 1995. It could be worth even more since it is an Old Book. Thought you would like to know what it was worth, at least give you an idea anyways. Congrats on them finds! Good Luck and HH to you.:detecting:[attachment 90925 RomperRoomRing.jpg][attachment 90927 RomperRoomRingClose-Up.jpg]

Thank you for the information on the Romper Room Ring I found. I was shocked to see that that ring has value. I knew that it was a good find, but not that good. That made my day. Thank you very much. HH...Jesse.
