max manual sensitivity 32 in iron fields

Hello all friends need answer, if anybody use explorer in max sensitivity 32- manual in total iron fields? my settings: manual sensitivity 32. sounds ferrous,no discrimination, coil 1050, found that its make sens, dug more targets, but sadly speed is very slow. I have tested this style in small over hunted by me part of the wood where hundred years ago was field fertilized with toilet sup  ,but i have to move very, very slowly!. I want to know if anybody tried this crazy stile?any tips? and need info who use both explorer and etrac, can it be faster and more productive with etrac in iron field with max sensitivity, manual? thank you all Stasys

Glad it works for you. I have to say it doesnt for me. Ive tried it on the beach and found 29 was the best i could get before i was loosing or making no difference in depth. Obviously, soil, moisture, EMI, salt and depth and size of iron will affect the results. Ive used it here in some of the fields i hunt and find going slow in those areas with my normal settings of Manual 24, gain 7, and ferr seems to work better for me. Ive tried using 32 auto also, but find 26 is just as good. BUT... everyone that uses the explorer finds things that work for them and work well. Also, what i notice going TO slow in a field i start picking up tiny tiny pieces of surface junk that i normally would have passed over. Keep us posted and let us know what kind of finds your are finding and do some target testing.

Interesting. I was going to bring this up, too. I recently started using my XS with -16 IM, 32 sens manual, ferrous. I went to a high iron site where I had been before using -9 IM and 13 sens, and found more targets.
I was wondering about other's experiences. Many years ago I had tried it, but used conduct instead of ferrous and couldnt stand the sounds, but in ferrous, a lot of the sound is low frequency so it is more tolerable.

I do find I need to go slow, and if there is any hint of a target, I need to re-sweep with shorter swings to bring out the target.

thanks Dew for answer. I agree with you about tiny shallow targets and can add to shallow metal that in 30% holes I cant found anything except iron with my sun ray probe. I cant say if its any logic to use 32 manual settings in iron and with sucher slow speed?but still i can found something! plus I used Audio 1 -Smooth which is too not very easy more then 3 hours to use, after I start to make more mistakes. 32 manual is something new for me and I am sure I will use it only in special places. if to speak about death I cant say if its big different from 29 air test show that is minimum. I would like to know if Etrac can do better in this type of checking old places? I know that pro coil is a bit more sensitive, but if on my explorer procoil? Etrac would make life easyer? thank you Stasys

In the field there is a few disadvantages ive found to using to high sensitivity. One is HOT ROCKS... there are a ton of them on or just below the surface and you have to know what they sound like. Next is RUST on iron... it can be a killer if you use COND sounds. Even in Ferr RUST sounds off in the lower right corner of the screen and is an irritating higher tone. Higher sensitivity will cause more coil falsing everytime you bump the coil.... and i bump it ALOT. Then there is reduced depth based on deep targets. The coil has a HALO... a big Halo with that kind of sensitivity. It works like a sponge... everytime you hit a target it is like squeezing that sponge. Obviously the more you have under the coil the more often that depth is reduced. So like in a trashy park.... you are just as well off using a small coil or reduced sensitivity since you arent going deep anyway. Might have a problem pinpointing with the X1 too if you use it. These are the disadvantage so far for me. Now on a smaller in the field.... there may be a LOT of advantages to that setting.

falls signal from bumping coil? I know this is issue with slim coil and possibly with pro which I still cant get, but old 1050 is stable enough, my improved 1050 coil is stable like hell, no problem at all.
hot rocks, I know this is a big problem, but different coils tuned differently, some are more sensitive to hot rocks some are not, even if coils are the same model. best is to test different coils the same model and different producers coils, to found tuned right for soil condition. I dont know why coil producers do not make coils for different soil conditions? everything is left to sensitivity. but its to complicated. so back to sensitivity 32 manual, secret to use it is slow speed and on the known places where everything is piked , but what about etrak? can it be help? thanks Stasys
