Maybe going to Old Virginia.

Thinking about taking Joan to Virginia next month for a few days of vacation. She has not been able to see much of the country as I have, so I told her I would take her wherever she wants to go. Just choose the place and I will drive us there. She mentioned she would like to see Virginia. I thought I could show here some of the east coast and the ocean. Will see where she decides to go.

One of my favorite places to go! Civil War relics! :)

Hey Mike, what's the restrictions on hunting relics out there in Virginia. Only been there once, after my son and I went to the Bristol race. Had a chance to be stationed there in the Navy, but chose Florida instead. Norfolk is not too fond of sailors and marines. Don't know why. We are such a sweet bunch of people.:wiggle: They actually had signs that said " All dogs and sailors, keep off the grass".

Have fun, be safe and hope you can go :detecting: for those relics and find some nice ones! Most of all enjoy vacationing with your Sweetie, who had better be your wife! God Bless! Betty

I know that some areas even the public places are off limits! They don't want relics being dug.
They would rather they be left to rot in the ground forever! Kinda stupid if ya ask me! Construction area are a good bet. We have had good luck when asking the super if we could. Also private property with permission is ok.
