(Maybe more than a little. My middle name is John.)
It was warm this afternoon. Well it was 44F which is a heat wave compared to the last two weeks. Of course, I stupidly took out my sparkly clean 2500. My rechargeables were toast so I put in backups that Santa had thoughtfully put in my stocking this year. A record for the least amount of time my spares have been in my field kit. 12 hours. My Lesche and Pro-Pointer were also all cleaned up from 2009 hunting and now need another bath. Of course the ground was still frozen solid and there weren't many grassy patches, but I found a decent bare spot on a hill that faces south. A fun and very unexpected hour and fifteen minutes. Here's everything I dug:

Go ahead John, call me a name now. I deserve it.
Chris
I've closed out my 2009 clad account so this is officially the first hunt entered into my 2010 find book. Also a gift from Santa.
