I told everyone about the Sens@45, Thres@-7 and these settings will get a lot deeper coins. These settings worked on the fresh water beaches in the AT mode. I have been trying a number of settings with sensitivity set at 45,55,65. I also been trying Threshold numbers -5,-6,-7. In the parks. I finally set up the F70 in Program 1: Sens@45 and then 55 and then 65 Thres@-5 and then-6 and then -7, DL, 3H, Disc@20. Program 2: Sens@65, Thres@-3, DL, 3H, Disc@20. I would check by switching form program 1 to program 2. I never dug a target past 3". I wonder if these setting only work in AT mode?
Next outing I will run AT mode and see if I do get deeper targets?
I am truly sorry for giving you guys some bum scoop. I will try not to assume because it works in one situation, it will work in all situations. Again it is best to try for yourself to make sure you are not following an old fart down a dead end alley. Thanks and Happy Trails....Z
Here is the results of the last 2 hunts.....

Hey, I've been experimenting with this too..the deep negative thresh and low sens...thanks to you its opened up the F70 to me after a year of dinking around. today I was running your program at places I've really swept clean (right) what I find is the machine gives a little high pip of a dime or Q through the trash, then I can bring sens up a little, or the thresh back toward zero to clear up the location of the deeper target..or even drop into AT on something really deep, .Its pretty freakin cool! I even went to the snowpile areas that you know are full of trash and had a blast!
Anyway, I believe i'll be running this unit the way it was intended from now on, changing sens and thresh throughout the hunt as the situation dictates...Its all a learning process, and your info has helped me tremendously.
