Me and the 250 ventured out for a hunt this afternoon and scrounged up $5.65 ( missing from post 36 cruddy pennies ) including another of the new doll

Went back to the park where I found the two nice rings but no such luck today I usually only hunt for a couple of hours or so before I peter out but I was feeling frisky today and stretched it out to about 3-4 hours. Hunted mostly under the trees where all the folks sit or lay. Found three coin spills - one with five quarters, another with one quarter, two dimes and a nickel, and another with two quarters, two dimes and a nickel. Also one penny spill. Found the dollar coin under a tree right next to a guy reading a book. There were people all over the place and I just detected around them. There were a few bums sleeping off a heavy dose of "Night Train."

Wanted to hunt a little longer but the time got away from me and I had to get home and feed momma and the dog. I'll let that park ripen back up for a few days and hit a different one tomorrow. It should get a lot of traffic this weekend. I've been finding a fair share of nickels. Guess the other fellers think they are pulltabs and leave them.

Great hunt!!! I wish it was like in Canada with the $1 & $2 coins!!! But our dollar coins will always be just a once in a while find. Congrats on finding another one!!!

Well, maybe not everyone's hoarding them new Dollar coins.
Maybe now is the start of them getting into circulation. (don't you all wish):twodetecting:
 
I keep hoping. I've picked up about 38 dollar coins over the past three years or so. Got the Susan B. Anthony ones, the SACS, and two of the new ones. The Mint shucked out over a billion of the SACS. If the dumb public would spend them and lose them it would sure improve our hunts.
