My wife's parents have a travel trailer they bought last year in a private campground north of Alpena,Michigan in a place called Presque Isle....Right on Lake Huron!!!My in-laws,me and my wife-My wife's brother and his wife have a trailer up there,too-all the above are going CAMPING up there for Memorial Day Weekend-We are leavin Friday night,will be there till Monday Morning!!OF COURSE Im takin the detectors-they got a SWELL beach up there-I was going to say Im gonna stay out of the water-STILL KINDA CHILLY-But then again I happened to remember my waders I bought just for cold-water detecting 2 years ago-GUESS WHAT ELSE IM GONNA PACK BESIDES THE DETECTORS???!!!

I'm guessing you are going to pack the waders and some thermal long johns just in case it is colder than you thought. Also bet yer taking Boomer with ya to see how he loves the beach.
Alpena has a metal detecting club. I ran across one of their members a couple years ago - wading with his detector in the water.
