Merry Christmas Guys!!! Got an Id problem with some strange finds

Merry Christmas!!!
I have a friend that dug these objects out of a garden area near an old revolutionary war camp. I have no idea what they may be, they seem religious in nature and appear to be struck. They are less than a dime in size and are completly irregular in shape, made of copper and are very thin.
If anyone has any idea what they may be, I would appreciate the help.

Hi bud,you might have something really old there,my advice,dont try to clean them,keep posting them on all the detecting forums,chances are someone will recognise them,good luck,Cal
