Message to Eric Foster...PI Book

Hi Eric
I like to read your posts in the forum...every time knowledge, knowledge...and valuable info for the PI-DIY community. Many people suggested already that you should write a book about PI design. I'm sure if you write a professional technical book in an easy language for DIY people it would be a great success. The book should cover all topics from theories to praxis (tips & tricks) written by an expert with (maybe) a sample design & wave forms etc. Maybe you will sell more books and make more cash on it than selling PI unit's.
If you need someone to translate the technical articles from English into technical German let me know. The German PI-DIY community is steady growing. It's only a matter of time that someone come out with a really good PI-DIY book (not like the Elektor book) and translate it into English and make the cash.....:) ha, ha, ha... Why not you? You have the knowledge to do it now.
Best regards
Chris

Hi Chris,
A PI book is definitely on the "to do" list. However, for financial reasons I have to keep producing and developing detectors for the time being. To write a decent well illustrated book, I would need to take six months off. I am not one who can do a bit here and there and end up with a good product. Until we have sold our Oxfordshire house, I have two mortgages to pay and all the other household expenses are doubled up too. When the house is sold, I will be able to sit back a bit and do some of the more interesting stuff.
Eric.
