Metal Detector Shielding For Quieter Operation

Does anyone know what type of shielding is in the coil cables and the coil itself? For years most manufactures always advertised that their coils were 100% Electrostatic shielded.A Faraday shield was one type and also Shielding Paint was another. Also some cables had Wire shielding and some had Foil shielding and some had both. Also do they shield in the inside of the Plastic casing around the circuit board.I don't see much advertising about these newer detectors being 100% shielded like I use to see.I realize that some of these newer Fisher and Tek models are hotter but I've had hot machines too that wasn't very noisy and they were advertised at the time as being 100% shielded.I do know for a fact that some types of shielding are better than other types. All of my metal cased detectors have always been extremely quieter than my plastic cased detectors.I shield cavities on electric guitars to help quiet them down and take the hum away and it works quite well.Sometimes just lining the cavities with Copper Foil works great! Some others also use Aluminum foil too and it works just as well.I think any Highly Sensitive electronics Needs some kind of shielding these days with all the EMI that is out there.I would just like to know if the Detector and the Cable and the Coil or all 100% shielded.

HH!
