It,s about to get cold here. I'm planning to get some books to some what help with the jonesing I,ll be doing all winter, waiting for it to thaw, any recommendations for some good metal detecting or treasure hunting books/videos? I read a book on finding gold rings and etc with the dfx. The guy who wrote it, wrote it based on finding gold inland, excellent book, really opened my eyes and gave me some great ideas, shame he wrote it for the dfx though. I guess the SE is to new for any books or videos yet. But if anyone has read anything helpful, let me know, thanks. Good hunting.I have an ese.

Hi digitrich,

Any of Andy Sabisch's Books are well worth getting hold of, they are a good read and have a wealth of information in them, I don't know if you have an XS or EX II or SE but if you have any of these machines Andy's book "Mastering the Explorer XS and S is a must.

All the best.....Boony

This is not a book recomend but...

I like the bottle dig in the winter cause I can find a hole and use a pick to get the first few feet down then its easy pickings. Or there is a park nearby that even if there is a few feet of snow on the ground the pines keep the snow off the ground under them and there is more than enough area to hunt.

Just some thoughts. There is no season that can stop you only attitude.

I enjoy books also. If you have never read "The Detectorist" by Bob Sickler then I think that is a must read. It is possibly the best book I have ever read on the subject. I currently don't know where my copy went but it was rags the last time I loaned it out.
