Metal detector

I want to buy a metal detector but I don't know which is the best. I found a lot of informations about that on http://www.METAL-DETECTOR-REVIEW.COM and I want to know more about which model is ideal for treasure hunting. Any recommendations would be appreciated, make and model, etc)

Any top of the line detector will do you fine but I prefer the Explorer thats why I'm on this site. Just take the time to learn what the detector is telling you and Location, Location, Location.

There is a lot to consider before you go and buy a detector.First off you need to determine what kind of detecting you would be doing EX. Beach and or Water hunting, Relic hunting ,Coin hunting ect...ect.... The area also has alot to do with what your looking for such as parks or in the neighbors yard or a farm field,the lake or ocean....
How many years of detecting do you have on other detectors...(as to learn a new one takes some time)???
Money $$$ ??? depends alot on the above questions. you could start with a fairly decent detector around $100.-$200. that will get you started.
The more you pay... the more BANG for the buck you get.
Like any other thing you buy.
There are toooo many good detectors out there to determine the best of the best(But we are in the Minelab forums !!!)...Most makers have bottom -mid range and top of the line detectors to cover your needs and price range. hope some of this will get you in the right direction. Check and see if any clubs exists in your area and I'm sure they'll be glad to show you many different models and how they work. Read read and read will be your best bet on getting the info you desire.... GOOD LUCK

I went and read through the other forums for the other detectors and made my decision. I Looked at what was being found, how often, common problems, how deep. After taking in all that I end up here. I am very happy with the minelab EX11. If you dont want to spend time learning,or spend big money, and just want to grab the clad on the top. Buy a lower grade detector. My first one was a Bounty Hunter and it worked fine. Once I realized I was hooked on this hobby. I went for the best.
