Meteorite

Here is a photo of a meteroite we helped move out of the desert in California, Old Woman Mountains, we used a helicopter with a 110 foot sling, and a cargo net. It took our group of Marines most of the day to get a cargo net under it. I was the lucky one, I directed the helicopter when it landed with the meterorite.
This was around 1977 if my memory serves me right. Can be found under google images (Old woman mountains meterorite).

Now, like my mom and dad would say, WOW that is a big ROCK! Glad you all didn't have any trouble moving it by helicopter! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty
