Mexican Beach Detecting

Headed out tomorrow morning to Puerto Morelos (22 miles south of Cancun). Had no intention of taking detector but then again why not? Any feedback, advice, cautions or info on the use of my F70 DD while on vacation? Obviously common sense would prevail with respect to hours, darkness and lonely beaches. Any advice would be appreciated.
