Mike Hillis-- why are some of your posts missing?

Mike,

having an insatiable appetite for all things F5, I am constantly looking back though old pages of this and other forums for your posts. I have noticed several with titles that I would be very interested to read. When I pull them up, a sentence or two is there, and then no more.

For example, a post you made of the F5 vs omega, and another about updates to the F5 manual. There are others, but these two come to mind at the moment.

Did you edit them, or did someone delete them?

To the best of my knowledge .none of Mikes posts have been deleted.... unless an administrator has done so for some reason.

It is possible a server issue created the problem during upgrade.

Hi Mike.. Last summer they made some server changes on the Finds Mall, not only are your posts chopped off but a lot of mine and Monte's posts are too.

The problem was fixed on posts that are current but many of the old posts are chopped off when the poster was using the "ALT" button held down and punching in numbers at the same time to make special characters like... µ...¾..½...¼...¢.. Then anything written in the post after the special characters were used are gone..Poof!! Lost in cyberspace, bummer.

Thanks Hombre. Sad to know that I'm wasn't the only one affected.

However I never use the alt key. I know Monte does but I never do.

Guess I need to re-think my posting. I'm pretty sure I have copies of the long posts around somewhere as I usually do those in a word doc first but the shorter, direct to site posts would be irretrievable.

I guess the good stuff needs to be done differently.
