Military Brass Shoulder Epaulette from Colonial teardown site

Last Sunday I found a military epaulette at a site in CT where a 1700's house was being prepared for teardown. See my entire post in the Minelab Explorer Forum for details and other items found. Any I.D. or info would be appreciated. It was about 8-10 inches down about 30 feet out from the back of the house.
It has some damage but nothing that can't be fixed.
Thanks, Bruce
