[attachment 160835 military_button_4-30-2010_backyard_002.jpg]Went out in the backyard just a few minutes ago before I go to work. Found this military button about 2 inches down. Is it a WW1 or WW2 button? From what I saw, it appears to be WWI, but not sure. Any info would be appreciated.

Congrats on the button, but I don't know anything about them! May God Bless you to find the correct answer! Amen! Ma Betty

Hey There DK,

From the enlarged picture, it has all the earmarks of a 'U.S. Army Post Korean War Dress Uniform Button'. My dress uniform buttons, when I was army active looked exactly this the one in your picture.

The Great Seal button. made in 1902. used in both wars. Hard to tell by the pic.

Hey Mike, I will try and get a larger better pic for you to ID. I saw one in research and it looked like one that was WWI. Appears to be brass. I will do some more cleaning tomorrow and may tell what the engraving is on the back.
