Military or Civilian button?

I decided the rain wouldn't kill me, and I hit the same spot I went to last night where the tombac button and musketball came from. I was hoping to land a nice military button.
Well, I got a button...but have no clue if it's military or civilian. Plain front flat button...there is a pattern on the back which is hard to make out, and a backmark which I can't quite make out <img src="/metal/html/frown.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":(">
I also found an 1894 Indian Head, as well as a large cent (date unknown).
Anyone know if there are military buttons like this out there?! Or what period the button would be!? Thanks...

Very sure the button is an early Civilian button,
Congrats with the other finds too!
