I have seen some posts on here about meteorites. Here is a great video of a man that only hunts for meteorites finding one worth a million dollars and shows him live finding more.

Magnetic, i put a small strong magnet taped on the end of my duck-bill pick,
found a few real small ones, while hunting other items,

Ironically, if a big enough meteorite were to ever thump this planet, ther'd be plenty of that stuff spewed about for collecting .... that is, if anyone is left standing and has a working detector since the EMP will likely destroy circuitry. Either way, meteor particles won't be worth anything from an impending economic collapse. It's food that will be worth millions!:help:

Well i have a garden each year so unless they start stealing from the garden I'll make it. "A country boy can and will survive":drinking:

hi oldrivers i"v got some books on finding meteorites it"s something i"v allways wonted to do. heaps of them fall every year. the iron nickel are the easiest to recognize as they usually melt from the heat of the entry they get pits or a crust and the iron ones are crystallised inside from the extreme cold of space the pro"s take a slice off the meteorite and etch them with nitric acid to show the crystallisation (this looks very cool). the stony ones are hard to tell sometimes they have iron in them sometimes not a blackened outside is a good sign.
hope this helps. good luck finding your million dollar meteorite.

ty lazyaussie. I'm certainly going to read up about it now. Heck we have dinosaurs they find here in texas. So there are bound to be meteorites here as well. At least that's what they claim killed them.

Just make sure you're growing food that doesn't require much sunlight! The atmosphere will be very overcast for several months to years! As for me? I can live on canned Spam ... that is until my arteries disagree with it!! LOL:rofl:
