minecache.com A "must have" addon for Google Earth

Hi folks,

I wanted to share with you a great program I found while surfing the prospecting websites. Some of you may know about it, but to those of you who don't, it's an invaluable research tool.

It's an "addon" overlay for Google earth which shows you all the old mines, prospecting sites, and gold brearing areas in the USA. I guarantee, YOU'LL LOVE IT!

Please follow the link below to try it. Once you register, you can download the full version.

Please Note: You must be zoomed in closer than 100 miles for the program to work! Try centering your Google Earth over for example: Nevada City, California and see how it works!

Give it a try and let me know what you think!

Wow 83 hits and not a single comment? Tough crowd!
It was worth looking at, and nice to see GE overlays being used in that manor, but not much gold prospecting going on in Michigan.

Not much going on in Indiana either! If you want gold here you have to pan for it and be prepared to use your snuffer bottle and magnifying glass. But it can be found!

We just all want to see pictures of quarters. We have not seen enough pictures of that and they all look a little different depending on the lighting. Our lives revolve around TID 44 now. Just kidding. I can't wait to get off my work computer and load it at home. Been trying to find something similiar so I can find old locations in Northern California to swing the 705. Just in case for the hardcore quarter fans here is a picture of what they look like.

LOL Quarters hell!! I want to find it all!!!! Quarters, dollars, wheaties, nuggets, Indian heads, gold rings,......................................

Neat tool thanks

Jeff

When Westerngold posted the information about this program and referred to it as a "great program" he was understating its coolness. :clapping: Thanks Westergold for sharing. I just finished checking it out. It is very helpful. This is exactly why I come to these forums to learn more and more about the area I live and the area I hunt with my 705!! Take his advice and download it.

This overlay will, of course be more helpful to those of us who live out in the Western US.

However, there's also some decent gold areas in Georgia, Tennessee, the Carolina's, West Virginia, Vermont, and I even found some gold mines in Maryland of all places!

???I registered like they ask and every time I try to log in I get a Invalid user name and password message???? TomB
