Subject: Minelab Donates 22-Metal Detectors to White Plains Veterans Charity

Minelab Donates $10,000.00 worth of Metal Detectors to MD4V.org

White Plains, NY – Minelab Metal Detectors, the world leader in metal detecting technology, has donated 22-new metal detectors to Metal Detectors 4 Veterans, Inc. (MD4V.org), a Westchester County, NY, non-profit charity that provides metal detecting therapy to veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and related conditions. The donated machines will be gifted to financially insecure veterans throughout the Country and used in classes and demonstrations for veterans in the Lower Hudson Valley.

“Metal detecting can be therapeutic for veterans suffering from PTSD,“ says Terry Soloman, President of MD4V.org. “Metal detecting is beneficial as it provides veterans a way to distract from negative thoughts and feelings, reduces stress, and improves mood. Detecting encourages veterans to engage in a calming activity, gets them outdoors, and provides a sense of fellowship, accomplishment and purpose.” Soloman, a Vietnam era veteran, is quick to caution that metal detecting alone should not be considered a substitute for professional treatment and therapy.

About Metal Detectors 4 Veterans, Inc.

MD4V.org started in 2023, as a personal project for Terry Soloman, a US Army veteran and member of Valhalla American Legion Post 1038. Using donations and personal funds, Terry who is an avid metal detector that also suffers from PTSD, was able to send 49- financially insecure veterans new metal detectors last year. Newly incorporated in New York, and filing for 501c3 charitable status, Terry hopes to reach many more veterans this year.
