Minelab Customer Service Report:thumbup:

On 1/10/11 I responded to a post by mpan concerning Minelabs customer service. I stated that my X-70 had been sent in for repair of the battery door latch on 12/28/10. I confirmed that delivery was made on that date.I further advised that I would report the outcome, good or bad, of the service received. I was told when I called that I could expect a 20 day turn-around on my MD. I'm very happy to report that on 1/17/11 (15 working days later) I received a call from Minelab concerning my X-70. I was advised that the latch could not be repaired and that it would necessary to replace the back cover. I then received on 1/18/11 a second call. I was given, what I think, was a very reasonable price to replace the cover. This price included labor, parts and shipping UPS back to me. I was told that I could expect delivery of my unit on 1/24/11 (20 working days) as they had promised. It was evident to me that Angie, John (service tech) and everyone at Minelab did everything the said they would do. Thanks Minelab. HHTomB

My X-Terra 50 control box snapped off my shaft last year ( caught it in some brambles). Unfortunately I let someone "repair" it at a DIV event and they promptly drove two wood screws into the circuit board when I turned my head. Sent it to Minelab and they replaced the control box and got it back to me in 30 days for about $68. Excellent service and turnaround if you ask me.

I had sent my 705 in to be looked at. I got it back today-14 working days later! Things are looking up. Thanks Angie, and all the people of Minelab!
