Minelab "Musketeer" same as "Musketeer Advantage"?

Is there a difference between a "Musketeer" and the currently sold "Musketeer Advantage"? Are they one and the same, simply a shortened name of the same machine? Or was there an evolution, of having been an original "Musketeer", and now evolved to a "Musketeer Advantage"? If so, what is the difference between them? thanx!

Tom,I think there was a Musketeer XS and Colt.A while back I owned a Colt and Advantage and did a side by side comparison air test.I'm not a big fan of air test to determine the performance of a detector, but the Advantage was 2-3 inches over the Colt in the air test with a clad quarter. The Advantage has a better battery system also.Hope that helps.

I aslo had the colt and advantage. Using the same coil on both machines I thought the machines were about the same.
I traded both units years ago.

They had no ground balance but are a cult favorite here in Virginia. it will pick the good stuff out of the trash in mid to low minerals. You need good headphones. The speaker is small. Best regards.

Black box Muskys were in Sov boxes, and the colt didn' have GB, the XS did, have had 3 adv 2 colts, all ran the same on depth, All very good.
