Myself I tried 2 of them as I thought the first one was bad, but it just didnt work out for me in my area. I field tested one that someone else made and it was really great as I tested the 8 inch, the 10 inch and the 12 inch and loved the 8 and the 12 inch as they did well for me. These coils are not being made at this time, but if they were I would have them as the 12 inch picked up many coins my Explorer EX II with the stock coil never seen at a house site I was at. The 8 inch also picked more coins in 2 hours I was there than I ever had before.
I had a chance to buy a new 8 inch Excellerator coil, but I thought it was bad so I sent it back for a new one and it too did the same thing, so it must be the area I detect. Maybe someday I will get a chance to try one again as some do like them a lot.
Rick[/quote] Hay Rick,ya i sold my sovereign,i just want to help others, the 8" concentric(excellerator coil) is amazing,i am just so upset that minelab will not offer a concentric coil for the sovereign or musketeer, what is the problem, can anyone answer that question,i bet no one here can locate me a concentric coil for the musketeer,i am going to keep the musketeer,i really like it,and will show what it can do with it even if i have to hunt with a dd widescan coil, which does not go as deep as a concentric, that's why owner's of minelabs have to go with large aftermarket coils, just to keep up with a concentric coil user, that's crazy!,i hope someone from minelab will explain, why they have very little detectors with concentric coils,i have heard that seasoned gold hunters like a concentric over a dd,yaa go ahead and through that ground balance excuse out there, there is no difference,i can ground balance a concentric just fine, let me go before i say something i shouldn't.Chuck.
