Just came across a Minelab Elite about 6 months old for sale near me. Owner upgraded to Manticore. Does Minelab allow warranty to be transferred to new owner? Thanks…

Yes they do.---Minelab has a three year warranty & it is transferable to subsequent purchasers/owners.-----Plus--the X-Terra Elite is a very good detector for the money.---I have both--the Manticore & Elite & plan on keeping both of them.----Elite with 6" coil is "killer"!

Last I understand the original owner must have registered or dealer did when it was sold so it is in their files when it was so for sure. Then you have to send in his name and serial number of the detector so they can check it out to make sure it is still in warranty. then they will registered in your name, without this they may not be able to warranty it.
Off the top of my head (78 years old) the Exterra Elite don't ring a bell, but a Sovereign Elite does. Minelab has been good for me with no warranty problems to speak of.

The Xterra Elite is a new model...... came out last year. There's an Xterra Pro now also. They're both part of the new generation of all digital rechargeable line of detectors Minelab makes now.
