I've decided to have a fairly simple contest of "guess the number of modern US coins in a wine glass". The coins are a random mix of pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, halves and dollar coins. The prize will be a softcover / printed VERY LIMITED edition of my book, "Understtanding your X-TERRA". Hats off to the folks at Minelab for making this printed version available for use in the contest!

So here is how it works....... each of you are welcome to make a guess at the NUMBER of coins in the glass. The closest guess wins! Make your guess in the form of a reply post to this one, posting only your numeric guess in the Subject line. Only one guess per person, so make sure the number you guess has not been previously posted. If more than one person ends up guessing the same number, the person who submitted it first gets that number. The contest will run for 3 days, coming to an end on Sunday, October 23, 2011 at 9:00 PM CDT.
I have NOT counted these coins yet. So I have no idea of how many there are in the glass. After the contest is over, I'll count the coins, go through the entries and announce the winner. And again, the winner will get a softcover VERY LIMITED edition of my book,"Understanding your X-TERRA". I'll pay the postage to get it to you. But I'm keeping the glass and the coins!
