Just got of the phone to a mate in vic,he got a try of the GP on and off over 3 days and worked a mullock patch approx 3/4 acre in size that has been hammered over 20 years.Over 80 targets,10 were old 21-2200 targets that were not taken home, can't remember if it was 24 or 25 small nuggets for just under 15 grams, none were deeper than approx 8" ,biggest was just over 1gm,smallest was .2gm. The rest were rusty steel,The biggest target was a piece of scrap steel 2"x1"x1/4 " thick at approx 18 inches and was a good signal. He was running the 11" coil in sensative and all other in normal.Thats the guts of it.

John, it seems like the GP's best effort so far is in the zone from 3" - 8" deep, and small nuggets in that range. On really thrashed ground anything from 0" - 3" should be already had by the SD/10" oval, and the big Coilteks should have got anything bigger down deep, so this leaves the GP with a limited margin of benefit. Sure, there will be a lot of small nuggets found in that range by the GP on thrashed ground but I cant get too excited about using a $5K bipper to glean missed crumbs from thrashed patches. Depth, depth, depth and more DEPTH is what we want and so far the GP is failing to deliver it.
Cheers, Chris Hake
