Minelab's new Quattro

Minelab has a winner with their new Quattro. Ron and I spent the weekend relic hunting and I can tell you; "This Dog can hunt!" Ron dug a Naval shell fragment at 19 inches and some bullets and buttons at 8-9 inches. Target ID was excellent and the learning curve is short. The manual is no larger than the Elite manual (that says it all). Also, we are looking forward to Andy's new Quattro book that hopefully will be out well before Christmas. I'll have the Quattro at the Shiloh Relic and Coin Hunt this weekend and will post more details later. You can call if you have questions. I'm too tired right now to keep typing. <img src="/metal/html/grin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":grin"> We have them in stock for immediate shipping. Good hunting, David @ Dixie <center><a href="http://www.dixie-metal-detectors.com"><img src="/metal/html/d-m.jpg"></center>

Hi Dave,
Which coil were you guys using and how good was the audio response on those 9" bullets?
Thanks! Tom

David,
Great feedback . . . . . just got in myself from the Minelab seminar in Las Vegas. Excellent turnout and a lot of top-notch information exchanged.
I was out with several of the Minelab staff including the president - Gerry Brannigan - who is in from Australia. We hit a REAL trashy ghost town site (somewhat like a junk yard based on all of the iron around) and Gerry pulled out a Shield Nickel from 8" that produced a solid locked-on number in amongst the iron trash present!
We hit a park in Las Vegas and were able to accurtaley ID targets at 8+" before digging them . . . down to the type of pull tab we had detected.
Many of the attendees had the chance to do some extensive testing with it and were very favorably impressed.
So. . . . . as David says, "<EM><STRONG>Yes, this dog can hunt</STRONG></EM>" . . . . . anxious to see some more feedback on others using the machine.
