Although the Omega did find some of the clad and other targets, for the most part, I let the LTD do its thing. And, it hit a ton of targets. This resort was started in 1912 and last year I also took a nice number of old coins off it, including a couple of Barber dimes. Every spring after ice out they take a grader of sorts and smooth out the sand and of course, bring up some new targets. With the exception of wheat cents, nothing all that old came from the beach this year, but the 2 war nickels, 34d Washington quarter, 3 Rosie dimes and the 28 Buffalo, token and almost all the wheat cents from 1909 upwards came from the beach along with all the jewelry and most of the misc. Which, included 1 small silver ring. The Merc., 2 Rosies and other 41s Washington came from parks and a old fairground along with the 1893, 96 and 98 Indian Head cents. The clad in the other post totaled $26.46 and was all from the beach. Another $9.00 + in clad I got from two tot lots. (not shown....I spent to much on pie and ice cream and spent it.) LOL For the most part, I used the 11 DD coil, de mode, sen of 75 and 1 tone. I tried other settings, but liked this set up the best. Although the 1 tone really made me watch the screen as there were hundreds of single digit readings which were small rusty nails, small foil and bb size lead. Bp and je modes were just a tad sparky. Not horrible, but a bit more tic's and pips. Can't wait for Aug when we will be returning back up there for the replenishment of the up coming summer season. One shot is about 1/2 of the beach. It is 1100 feet in total. HH jim tn
...but then only highgraded for the halfs and dollars...sheesh!
I hate to say it, but I would not have wet a line fishing with a beach like that to detect! Did you wade at all? Did you have a scoop? That is quite a haul, even for you!
...real good job!
