Missed something but want to say Forgive One Another and ...

Pete in MI

New member
the devil will do what he can to divide Christians from Christians. Why forgive? Why should we not be run off by a weapon of the devil..whether it be anger, fear, or other firey darts he throws at us. I have mentioned before the military term "Divide and Conquer". We have here a lot of Christians who are walking in the ways of Truth and Light. Some are coming here as God brings them and leads them to be supported by the faith and love of other Brothers and Sisters in Christ. Prayer is our greatest weapon and the devil knows this. If he can keep us from being together, from supporting one another with our faith, love and prayers, can chase us off by driving a wedge between us - he will...and he has in the past and will continue to do so.

What options to we have? Let the devil have his way...get mad...leave the forum...or should we Forgive One Another...as we should do to those who apologize and ask for forgiveness. As Christ has forgiven us we are to forgive others. Forgiveness is from God...anger is of the devil. I understand that forgetting is hard to do yet we are to forgive...and not once but if I recall it was seventy times seven if a Brother offended someone. I don't think we need to keep score of how many times we forgive. It really means - just forgive as many times as you are asked to forgive.

I have many things that have happened over the years to me. Will I forget the things and people who did these? I try. It is hard. I do forgive them but bringing up the past only again becomes a divider between others and between God and myself...which the devil enjoys.

The one who plows a field is not fit to plow if he continues to look back at the past (behind him). One good reason to forgive is to let go of the things keeping us in bondage to the devil and his ways.

So I ask Brothers and SIsters if you have aught against one another - forgive and pray for one another and do not let the evil one drive you away or cause you to curse on another as this should not be. Love one another - forgive one another - pray one for another

I too don't know what has happened but I know satan would love to destroy us, for that is his desire....he comes to steal, kill and destroy, especially, the ones who know Jesus as their own personal Savior! To destroy our souls and get us back to serving him is what he is all about and he uses others to do that, so we need to be very spiritually aware of how he works his evilness! I pray that whenever I offend anyone that they will forgive me and I do forgive those who intentionally or unintentially offend me! What one person deems as a joke another can and often does take offense but do not allow it to happen! Jesus said, Forigve one another as I have forgiven you! He has forgiven me and being still human I am not perfected as yet, for He is still working on me! May God Bless us to forgive and love one another! Please overlook my faults and those of others, too, as only Jesus is perfect! Amen! Thanks Pete for your post....although we don't mean to offend sometimes we do and don't even know it; therefore, we need to understand that each of us walk in our own shoes and are from a different background with most likely baggage from our past that we need to let go but very difficult to do when we are reminded in some way or another! Love ya all in the Love of Jesus Christ our Heavenly Father! Amen! Ma Betty
