Hello All. Just a post on the finds at the American army hospital from the 2nd WW. There was a variety of items for the time spent there. I came across another dump and burn site and recovered more bottles. The signal was strong but on the Effy side but I made the dig and the reason for the signal was the large bronze buckle. On the coin side I found 3-pennies 1933 -38

Stan, you've done it again!!!!, I'll bet Golden is eating her heart out:(:|, Now Golden, don't get mad,,,,, I'm just kidding, but boy this is great stuff. I thought you two lived in the same area. At any rate, those are some great finds. I'm a total amateur on this relic thing, but I love the bottles. I'm wondering what the small bottles are, if they were ink bottles or not? I'm also wondering why you'd find shell casings at an army hospital? Hmmmmm. Maybe somebody got ticked off at one of the troublesome patients. (Just kidding again), bad humor, I know, but I also like that piece with king stamped in it. What in the heck is that, I wonder? Great stuff, Stan. You've certainly "extended" the field of METAL, detecting by showing the bottles too. Love the pics. Marc.

Hello Ken and Beachguy. Thanks for looking at my post.
I came across a new sewer and clay pipes system so I started in this area as I was detecting towards that area back towards the area where I had finished last time. after some time my foot started to get painfull. I will be heading to the beach over the week end and post my finds. All the best. Stan. Australia. from down under.

Hi Stan, nice finds! I love the relics. All the bottles look like medicinal bottles to me except for the small one on the far right of the photo, which may be an ink bottle. I'd say they're dated around 1930-1940's. The second photo seems to feature tent ringlets or eyelets, the ring is interesting. Is it silver, and had been partially melted perhaps? What did it read in at on the Quattro? The buckles look good too, and bottom photo, is that a chinese coin, the round thing with the square hole in the centre? Don't see any writting on it. And it looks thicker than the usual coins. Is it brass or copper? Lastly, love the coins! I'm always partial to old coins Stan. I get excited with each old coin I find. Yoo should see my coin album!

Hello Ange and Beachguy. Sorry about the late reply. I will try and help with your questions about my last post. The bottle does look like an ink bottle as it looks simular to the ones I used at school. The ring looks a little frail so I will put it in my electrolis set up and sees what happens with low voltage and small amounts of time in the Barth. From membury it showed high around 37to 38 and that i8s the common n7umber I get from good quality silver. It does look like it has been in the fire as you suggested. The round copper w2ith a square hole in the middle always had me puzzled right from the first one I found. The thickness is about half of a penny and has no writing on it. I have found quite a few of them and at first I thought that someone had filed away a penny on both sides. All the ones I have found are the same. quite a puzzle. As always I too like the old pre decimal coins, it gives you a buzz when found. I have a coin book with little pockets in the plastic pages at a rough guess I have over two thousand old coins that I have found over the last eighteen years. Marc the square ones could have been medicine bottles. The copper alloy fitting with the King stamped on it is a puzzler; I can
