More finds to add to my HOARD!:yo:

Here is my finds from this past weekend. Most of the finds were found on Saturday while Sunday was a big let down at a different site I had heard about that had some potential. That site turned out to be a big . Guess I should have went back to my hot spot but had to try this spot and see what was actually there. Funny thing is that the site on Sunday was established in 1905 and there should have been a lot more coins there, even the newer coins were almost non existent and this is an old Fairgrounds. Next weekend I am going out and trying a few other locations I have researched and with a little luck, I should find some nice older coins and relics. Now for what I found. I found 8 more Silver which consisted of 6 Mercury Dimes dated 1919,1920-s,1939,1941-s,1943, and 1943-d, 1 Canadian 5 Cent Silver (Half-Dime size) dated 1874-H and 1 Canadian Dime dated 1951. The Canadian 5 Cent Silver was a surprise. I noticed it was Canadian and took some dirt off to see what the year was and I thought that it was 1914 until I washed it off under water and seen Victoria instead of the King. Boy was I shocked when I seen the date! Don't find too many of these small coins in a year so it was a very nice find indeed. I found 2 Tokens as well with one being an Aluminum Octagon Good For 5c In Trade with a K cut out in it and the 2nd Token is just a junk Token. The back of the 5c Trade Token has the Town Name on it so I can't show it to you. On with the other finds. I also found 2 Nickels which were 1 Buffalo Nickel dated 1935 and 1 Jefferson Nickel dated 1949-d. I found a Sterling Silver Ring also with a Turquoise and I also found a Religious Pendant. The Pendant doesn't have any markings on it but I do think it is Silver since it has some weight to it if you put it on your index finger. I will have to have it tested to find out for sure. I found only 1 Indian Head and this came from the Fairgrounds on Sunday with 10 Wheat's. The Indian is dated 1907. And for the Wheat's. I found 31 more Wheat's dated 1911,1920,1927-s,1928,1929,1935-d,1936,1938-d,1940-d,(3)1941-d,1941-s,(3)1942-d,1944,1944-d,(4)1945-d,(2)1946-d,1947-d,1948-d,1948-s,1951-d,1956-d, and (2)1958-d. For Clad Coinage I dug 17 Quarters,32 Dimes,1 Nickel, and 101 Pennies. I also found a few Misc. finds and they are 2 Keys, 2 Key Rings,1 Toy Firebird Car,a Silver Plated Spoon, and an old Studebaker Emblem. All in all, I guess I did OK. At least I didn't get skunked. Another good weekend for you as usual James...........:) Nice finds and sorry to hear that the one spot you researched turned out to be a bust. You just never know about some places that you feel should be full of coins. I know the feeling after all my research I did on an old place that they held picnics from the 1890's. I had visions of finding all sorts of silver and maybe even some gold coins, but it was a total bust. I may just get me a bigger coil and give it another try one of these days. My god, there has just got to be some stuff there if you could see all that went on there from all the old photos that I found. Keep up the great posts James and HH.

This spot a friend told me about. He told me a friend of his found a Barber Quarter there and he wasn't there very long and my friend said he found some Wheats last time he was there. I thought I would give it a try with my luck but it the finds were just not there. I do think that spot of yours yeilds some nice old stuff though and I bet if you did more research into it that you may just find out that just maybe you aren't in the right location of where the festivities were held the most. I wish you luck at that site and hope you find something from it if you decide to give it another shot. Good Luck and HH buddy!

All that silver would have made my weekend for sure. Nice find on that Canadian silver 5 center! Seems you're always finding tokens - that's great - why do you consider the other one a junk token? Great job boss!

The other Token I consider a Junk Token since it is a newer one for Amusement and isn't worth anything. I believe I have found over 20 Tokens this year so far which is outstanding considering how much of a rarity it is in finding one. Just Lucky I guess! Thanks Erik and Good Luck and HH to you!:detecting::thumbup:

I always look forward to Monday's lately it's better than football. I know your going to show us some goodies. You and Mr. Chili should get together and open a store combo of coins and jewelry. Between the both of you there is enough to start up. Nice finds again James. WTG

Pirate of the Sea and the Land Pirate. Maybe a good combo. Thanks again JB. So MrChile, you game for a business venture or what? LOL.:detecting::thumbup:
