still trying to get them the way I want but having a problem with the focus with some of them. This first one is just a little green worm that we have all seen. But have we ever really seen them. Look at the colors and pattern on this thing. Look at the hairs on its back! I would have never guessed the beauty of the things. I always just squashed them :0)

The next two are spiders I happened to see. One has just killed a moth. The other, I just thought the colors and patterns were interesting

The last thing I have no clue what it is. It is stationary and lives on the wall of my shed. It has been there all summer. It is alive and if I scare it it folds up into the shell looking thing. I ain't a touching the thing!

how do I increase the depth of focus? Higher number or lower? It is tough to get the darned focus right with the little stuff!

Go to Aperature priority mode (Av) on your Sony. Set aperature to a higher number such as 7.1. The Sony will pick the shutter speed automatically. Be careful that the shutter speed isn't slower than 1/60 (like 1/30) or you will have camera shake (worse for older farts). You are getting very good at macros buddy---those are great shots!

of pictures and try different things. I am amazed at the detail that these cameras will pick up.
I am headed north on friday for a couple weeks and hope to work on my skills a bit. Mary has the whole two weeks all planned but maybe I can sneak out a time or two

Great shots...I'm gonna start trying some myself. That Sony sure gets up close...I think much closer than my Nikon Coolpix 885
